William Colon

William Colon, commonly known as Willie Colon, is a former American football player who played as an offensive lineman for the New York Jets in the National Football League (NFL). Born on April 9, 1983, in the Bronx, New York, Colon's football journey started in his high school years at Cardinal Hayes High School, where he excelled as a lineman. After a successful high school career, Colon went on to play college football at Hofstra University. At Hofstra, he showcased his skills and was recognized as one of the top offensive linemen in the Colonial Athletic Association.  In the 2006 NFL Draft, Colon was selected by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the fourth round. He spent the first seven seasons of his professional career with the Steelers, playing a crucial role in the team's success. As a versatile offensive lineman, he played at both tackle and guard positions, providing stability and strength to the Steelers' offensive line. In 2013, Colon signed with his hometown team, the New York Jets. His arrival brought experience and leadership to the Jets' offensive line. Off the field, Colon has been involved in various philanthropic endeavors. He established the Willie Colon Foundation, which focuses on supporting underprivileged youth and promoting education and community development initiatives.
